2004-up Rubbermount XL/Sportster Weld-on Rigid Frame Hardtail. Convert your Sporty to a rigid Chopper/Bobber practically overnight!!! Fits stock XL (Sportster) frames for 2004-up (Rubber-mounts) and will handle up to a 150mm rear tire with chain. You can use your stock width wheel and tire if you desire. You will just need a longer axle than stock, axle adjuster collar kit, and additional axle spacers (Available directly from us). However, we can also build in-house to your specs - any stretch, width, etc. PLEASE NOTE: This item has 3/4 axle slots.

This is for Disc brake bikes and includes bracket so that you can use your OEM rear brake if you choose. The new measurement from center of swingarm pivot shaft to axle center when axle if all the way forward will be approximately 22.5. Does not require a frame jig to mount as long as necessary steps to check sqareness and level are taken prior to welding.

PLEASE consider the following BEFORE purchasing and/or installing a hardtail on a 2004-up XL/Sportster: - We do not currently offer a bolt-on kit to make up for the engine stability lost from the removal of the swingarm, whose pivot also serves as the rear motor mount. Most common solution for this is to go back to the older style (pre-2004) forward controls that mount the master cylinder on the pulley cover plate. However, this is NOT a straight bolt-up solution. The hardtails that we sell have a rear brake caliper bracket that works best with 2000 - 2006 calipers/caliper brackets.

So, you may want to budget for this if your bike is 2007-up. Springer installation will require removal of the whole fork neck lock system from the frame for clearance and turn radius. This involves cutting the frame and fabrication and weld work to fill the resulting hole.
