400 Different Star Hub Wheels with the Different Sizes of Rims (16", 18", 19", 21" & 23) and the Different Hubs (Chromed & Gloss Black Powdercoated) and the Different Spokes (Chromed, Stainless Steel & Polished Stainless Steel). Star Hub Wheel 21" x 2.15" CHROMED Drop Center Rim.

CHROMED 6ga / 8ga SPOKES. This is a "Timken Bearing" (11/16") Star Hub which has "Better Quality Bearings" than the Stock HD Star Hub with the "Loose Needle Bearings. They will Not fit with 1973-Later 3/4 Axles unless you turn your stock Axle down on a lathe. The Dimensions are the Same as the Original Star Hub, Aprox.

We Choose a Chrome Spoke Brand that we have used for Many, Many Years and we have had Very Good History with them and We Also Choose a Chrome Rim Company where we can "Constantly" True the Rims to. 020 or Less (Half of HD Spec's) and Usually get them Trued to.

010 just a little thicker that a Human Hair!!! 020 runout (average) and the Hubs will be Centered to within. 020" and all of the Spokes will be "TORQUED EVENLY with a Spoke Torque Wrench! This will keep the Spokes from BREAKING.

This is a TRUE Story: I had a customer come in our Shop one day and he bought a "VERY CHEAP" Imported HD Replica Wheel (Completly Assembled, Laced & Trued) on the Internet and wanted us to Mount and Balance a Tire on it for him so I asked him: "Would you like us to "FIX it First or just go ahead and Mount & Balance the Tire?? He said: "What do you mean"?

I told him to come around to our Service Dept. That the "Cheap Priced Import Wheel" he just bought Brand New would Not be Built Correctly and he Didn't want to bet me.

So we put it in our Truing Stand and it had Over. 090" Runout "Side to Side(double HD Spec's and Five Times what we would use), the Hub was aprox. 125" off center (Where it was supposed to be) and the Spokes were tightened "Unevenly any where from 20 - 50 in. "Unevenly Torqued Spokes" are the Biggest Cause for Spokes to Break and Come Loose!!! You could have a "Perfectly Trued Wheel" & "Perfectly Centered Wheel" but have Some Spokes Torqued at 10 and others Torqued at 20 and another side of the wheel could be Torqued at 50-60 and that is why Many Wheels "Constantly Break Spokes"!!
