This is a brand New tank from V-Twin that we added a Fuel sight tube. We have used them on many builds like xs-650 bobbers and Sportsters.. 2.5 Gal Frisco Mount. V-Twin 38-0066 Sportster Gas Tank with Custom Sight Tube. 2.5 gallon capacity (approximate).
Mounting hardware and cap not included. We Have Gas Caps and Mounting Kits In our Store. A fuel capacity of 2.5 gallons and accepts a bayonet style gas cap. It uses a 3/8 National Pipe Thread style petcock, pre-1975. Check the tank for flaws and fit before painting.
Do not grind or sand the seams or joints. Clean the inside of the tank. It is suggested to pressure test and use a tank sealer.
We suggest using Kreem gas tank combo kit to clean, condition, and seal to help stop leaks and prevent corrosion. Check the petcock opening, making sure the petcock can be easily installed. The petcock fitting should be masked or plugged during painting for easy installation of the petcock. Tank accepts Bayonet vented style gas caps.
